Still not over my polka dot obsession from the spring! Can you believe I used to despise orange? I really used to hate the color and refuse to incorporate it into my closet but it’s impossible to pass on this little midi dress! Something else I’m super into is adding boots or belts that edge up my more girly pieces. These white boots are obviously a go to for me, and I love how they look paired with this silhouette! If you’re thinking about purchasing this dress you’ll probably want to wear a bralette or cami underneath! It worked for pictures but I’d probably need extra coverage otherwise! One pro, however, is that these sleeves aren’t super snug so I believe it would be nursing friendly for moms who are breastfeeding!
My summer style got a slow start with my “blogging maternity leave” LOL but I’m okay with making up for lost time. Just means I’ve got to do the grueling task of shopping more often!

I’m so excited for my first real blog post after baby! It’s been a long time coming! There’s nothing I love more than a good festive outfit, and the 4th is the best holiday to really dress for the occasion without feeling too cheesy. I also love mixing it up. To make this look your “not so typical”’red, white, and blue ensemble, I decided to pop this yellow tee in the mix. Loving the “cool girl” vibes of this fit! If you haven’t noticed already, my watch matches my skirt to a T! I’ve swapped out the original gold band on this watch for the Canterbury strap from Daniel Wellington for a festive feel, and I’m so not mad at it! I’ve done a few posts in my first DW piece before, but I must say this little patriotic guy is my new fav! (PS Use the code: VICLINDSEY for 15% off when you shop their site! Plus, receive this Canterbury strap for FREE with any white dial watch purchase between now and the 4th!)
Wishing you all a safe and happy Fourth! Head over to my Instagram to see which shot of this look is my favorite and let me know your 4th of July plans!

Baby Lindsey has arrived! My last few weeks of pregnancy were honestly not too bad, but I couldn’t find myself inspired to get dressed in anything but workout clothes LOL. So there’s my explaination for my lack of outfit posts. Now that my angel baby is here I’m so excited to begin shooting again and especially happy to go shopping for new stuff! Before I begin sharing the usual outfits again I wanted to briefly share Lincoln’s birth story (aka how it all went down)!
On May 18th (exactly 2 weeks before my due date) I went into see my doctor for my routine weekly visit. I had begun to dilate a little already but it hadn’t changed since the week prior. Doc said “could be any day now”, but I went ahead and made my appointment for the following week anyway! That day was a normal day off from work for me. I went for coffee, did a workout, and got a mani/pedi! Weirdly enough about the pedicure, my friend who’s daughter was born just over a month ago went to our usual salon for a pedi the day she went into labor. The same girl that did her toes did mine the night I went into labor too! That lady is magic LOL! After my pampering sesh I went home and began to get dressed to walk to dinner with Jon and some friends. All of a sudden, it happened! Just like they said it WOULDN’T. My water broke like Didi Pickles in the Rugrats movie! (Classic) Jon was minutes from our house already, but I called him hysterically laughing in denial to explain that I think it might be time. He walks in the door and I’m dying of laughter because he cannot get a grip. Our bags have been packed for weeks at this point but he begins to climb in the attic looking for a backpack. There was no use for a backpack LOL. After we finally got in the car I explained that he should probably eat something because I was worried he was about to pass out! Burger King was on the way and we went through the drive-through where he screamed to the lady at the window “my wife is in labor!“ Her response: “So you came to Burger King?” I didn’t eat because I was so excited and nervous. Huge mistake!! I had been told to eat before going to the hospital and planned on it but didn’t follow through. Ladies, eat before you get to the hospital!!
We checked in around 9:45pm and got situated in then delivery room right away. Jon ate his food and I fell asleep. Boring huh? Well, the contractions began to kick in and I eventually opted for the epidural. I had a birth plan that didn’t include getting the epidural at all, but I promised I wouldn’t beat myself up if it didn’t all go to plan. Although it wasn’t “my” plan, it happened the way it was meant to. God had his hand on us the entire night. When I was fully dilated the next morning, doc explained that baby boy’s head was not down far enough and his head was turned. He was pretty positive I would have to have a C-section. TOTALLY devastated. I knew that I was willing to do anything necessary to get Lincoln here safely but was super disappointed. Both L and I were still doing great otherwise so they allowed me to wait it out one more hour. This hour was full of prayer! Doc came back with a doubtful look on his face already preparing to have to do the C-section. His face lit up immediately when he discovered my little champ had turned his head and I could begin pushing! Immediately, I started to push and after an hour he was here! At 2:54pm on May 19th, Lincoln Jonathan Lindsey changed our lives for the better (along to the fabulous song stylings of Cher herself. It was a party in that delivery room!)
The two weeks have been full of learnings! Each night gets better and better with sleeping, and we fall more in love with him everyday. I am fully confident that a positive attitude, the support of good family and friends, and exercise are the keys to the best pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum experience you can have! I look forward to continuing to share my life as a mom through my blog and social media and introducing you all to Lincoln!

The 26 week bump is real folks! I can’t believe how fast this preganancy has flown by me. I’ve still got a good many weeks to go, but time doesn’t seem like it’s going to slow down for the Lindsey’s. If all things go to plan we will be closing on our first home in two weeks, and this mama will be in full nesting mode. I’m already rummaging through our drawers and closets to toss out anything we don’t need and reorganizing the things we are keeping. After spending a good two hours in my closet the other day I dug up some old favs of mine including this tee and my trusty overalls. These have always been a little big in me so I was hoping they’d come in handy with this belly of mine, and sure enough they are perfect! I haven’t bought many maternity items. To be exact, I’ve only purchased two pair of jeans from a maternity boutique. So far my obsession with oversized tees and baggy boyfriend denim has proven to serve me well during pregnancy!
As far as how I’m feeling goes, I still feel phenomenal to be honest. One of the biggest perks has definitely been all the foot massages I can get from my husband. These are probably helping to keep me sane with all that’s happening right now! LOL. I feel like that’s good enough for catching y’all up! In the meantime, pray for a smooth next couple weeks for the Lindsey’s as we prep to move and do a few like remodeling tasks to our new home!
Oh yeah! I also chopped my hair. No, not because "I'm a mom." Rather I was just over the long hair, and remembered how great it felt last time I chopped it. Plus I just think the style is really cool, and was inspired by some of my fav gals on Instagram i.e. @bresheppard @nadia_mejia
Making a bold color statement in January! I feel so “Resort 2018” in this look, especially with these glasses! Funky florals are a trend to keep an eye out for this spring, and I’m definitely a fan! Although, I need to pace myself considering I can get carried away if I find a trend I love.
A perfect example of that is the fact that I basically wear a hat in every single post LOL. I guess it’s more of an accessory of choice rather than a trend I can’t shake. I’ve been collecting wide brim hats since 2011 and I can’t see myself stopping anytime soon. I’d love to know what your favorite trend is! Let me know over on my latest Instagram post where I ask the question!
Getting all excited for these bright pops of color I am seeing lately! So, I dug up this little cutie from last summer too see if I could make it work for date night or Valentine’s Day. I definitely think it’s a winner! Per my last post, polka dots are my jam, and I think they’re going to rule spring and summer.
Although I love shopping til I drop, I’m trying to reinvent outfits in my closet that I’ve already worn. I feel like this is a start for sure. Sometimes I find trendy pieces hard to hold onto season after season without getting tired of them. Anyone else? But, in the end there’s no talking me out of buying the latest trend especially if it’s haunting me on Instagram. LOL.
21 weeks and 2 days along with what I’m sure is going to be the sweetest little boy I’ve ever seen! I think polka dots suit him. Don’t you? Speaking of polka dots, I’m obsessed (and maybe getting carried away) with this print for spring! I know, I know. We just had a week long “snowpocalipse” here in Atlanta. But, this weekend’s weather has me inspired for some change in my wardrobe! I’m also super excited to see this print in sets and jumpsuits. Those are two of my favorite warm weather silhouettes, and I love seeing them come in fun patterns!
As for a preggo update: I feel incredible, I’m working out 5-6 days a week, and my only craving has been ice cold water LOL. Which is only odd because I usually prefer room temperature water. As for my clothes everything still fits well, but all I seem to wear are my align pants from lululemon, wrap dresses, and the Jojo thermal from Urban that everyone is obsessed with! Comfort has and always will be a priority of mine!
I’m loving styling this growing bump, and would be happy to hear any post suggestions you have! Let me know via Instagram DM!
Another year has come and gone! Everyone says this, but I feel as though each year goes by faster and faster. Although 25 is still young (and I’m grateful for that LOL) I feel like I’ve learned a few things along the way that have helped to guide me. I’d like to share 5 of my learnings with you all!
1. Always have a POSITIVE attitude.
This is definitely a tough one. We all have those days, and I’m including myself in that. Someone might hurt your feelings, you might be exhausted from work or school, or maybe you just can’t seem to find anything to be happy about. There is always a bright side to any day. It just takes a little mind over matter to turn your day/week around! My family, my pup, and my blog are all things that make me happy. So, if I’m down I try and focus on spending time with them! Now that I’m going to be a mom, pregnancy is something I feel a lot of people have negative attitudes about. I’ve been surrounded by a lot of positive moms, especially new moms. As of today, I’m halfway through the journey, and I truly feel amazing. So much of that has to do with the power of positive thinking and some good exercise! Which brings me to my next point.
2. Stay Active
For me, I feel in love with Crossfit 5.5 years ago, and never looked back. I found after one class I was hooked and that it was the workout for me. You don’t have to be a serious athlete or anything. Just find an exercise you love and keep at it. More than anything, this is for your mental health. This also ties into learning number 1 a bit. I’m surrounded by a loving and friendly community at my gym and that’s the biggest thing that keeps me coming back. I’ve met my best friends through fitness and they’re more than just gym friends! I exercise for a few reasons: 1- To be a part of a community. 2- I want to be healthy (throughout pregnancy) and for life so that I can be there for my husband and my kids for a long time. 3-To set an example for my children to live a healthy and active lifestyle! A morning or afternoon at the gym also helps relieve any stress or anxiety I’m feeling.
3. Keep the FAITH
As a Christian, I let my faith guide me in all things. I’m no where near perfect. I forget to say my prayers some nights and Jon and I don’t always make it to church every single Sunday. However, knowing God loves me regardless is a thought that forever keeps me wanting to please Him.
4. Don’t care ONE BIT about what others think.
I was once in a place where I cared about everything people thought or said about me. If I still felt that way, I probably wouldn’t be blogging, and that would be a shame because it’s my passion. People say this rule all the time. “Don’t worry about what others think of you!” It’s definitely easier said than done. It’s taken years for me to not care. I can honestly say that once I let go and stopped caring that my relationship flourished, I found truer friendships than I knew were possible, my confidence grew, and although I may not always have plans, I feel like I’ve always got something to look forward to.
5. Go for it and never quit!
Whatever it is just go for it! That job interview? GO! Starting your own blog? DO IT! Dye your hair purple? YES GIRL! You will truly “never know until you try.” I’ve seen a lot of growth in my blog and social channels this year. Although, I’m nowhere near where I want to be (aka taking over the world LOL) I’m so glad I still do this. It’s been 3.5 years since I pressed “publish” on my website. So many times I’ve been discouraged and caught in a whirlwind of comparison. Had I quit I would have the friendships I now have in the blogging community and wouldn’t be being true to myself. I don’t do this BECAUSE I want to make money, get likes, or get products sent to me. Although, those are amazing things and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. I do this because I love it even if no one reads it or double taps. People have compared me to other bloggers in person and to my face but I refused to compare myself to anyone else. No one is the same and there are billion talented guys and girls on the internet. I’m just one girl doing what I love doing. That was a long example and got a little preachy for a minute, but you just gotta GO FOR IT! (And never quit!)
Trench Coat / Bodysuit / Jeans / Hat / Belt / Boots (Mine are super old. I couldn’t find any other two toned to link. The link is for my other fav fall/winter booties!) / Scarf
When it finally gets cold in the south, I struggle to put together outfits that I will be both comfy and warm in! I strive for comfort in everything I wear, but I never want to sacrifice style of course. LOL. I have found that I really love the bodysuit trend. In the beginning, I thought that I would not like the idea of wearing a “leotard”. However, I’m surprised at how effortless and comfortable they can be! A good pair of denim, a comfy cotton bodysuit, and a warm coat make for a perfect winter look in my book! I’m hoping to find some good ones that will grow with this belly as I begin to show! If I can accomplish that, you may be seeing a sense of uniformity in my wardrobe for a while. LOL.
Lace Turtleneck / Leather Dress / Blue Beret / Baby L Stocking / Jon's Buttondown (New version)/ Jon's Pants / Zoey's Bow
Yep, you got it! Jonathan and I are so happy to finally share the news that we will be welcoming a baby boy in June! Getting right to it, I am 13 weeks along, and I honestly feel fabulous. I have been focusing on having the most positive mindset throughout this process. Mind over matter is key. Another key thing for me has been remaining consistent with my workouts. Staying active helps to fuel that positive attitude I strive for, and it doesn't hurt having my best friend, Sam, who's also expecting to go through it with!
Jonathan, and I can't wait to meet our boy! We do have a name picked out; however, we probably won't share it in case we change our minds! Jon is so pumped to have a son. Because Saturday's are for the boys and all that right? LOL!
I wanted to share all the pictures from our reveal photo session with one of my fav friends and photogs Taylor! She crushed it as always. Pray for our growing family as we go throughout this journey! We can't wait to meet him!
Every year I get more and more excited to put up my Christmas decorations! I feel like the older I get the better my holiday season goes, and I begin looking forward to it even more than the last! I invest so much time, energy, and money (shhh, don't tell my husband!) into decorating for the holidays, and I like to enjoy it for as long as possible LOL. This year I stuck with a (mostly) white theme to brighten things up in our living room. Fluffy pillows, fairy lights, and glittery pine cones sum up the vibe of our home! I'm loving the cheery feel I get every morning when I walk into the living room to make coffee. I don't necessarily feel like less is more when decorating for the holidays, but I definitely feel like it can be overdone sometimes. So, this go around I tried to meet somewhere in the middle! Swapping out the throw pillows in each room (mostly your main living space) can add a special touch outside of your traditional tree. The addition of twinkling lights hung over a ladder like mine or in a jar or vase is such a great way to bring some extra cheer into your home for the holidays. Little touches like this are what brings it all together for me!
As for the look in this post, I've been hoarding this sweater for ages! I've racked my brain trying to style it as the neckline is an awkward fit for me. After coming across this lace layering piece I knew I could finally make an outfit with this sweater! A classic pair of black jeans and my Jeffrey Campbell go-tos make the look perfect for a holiday get together with family or friends! Speaking of which, I'm so pumped to get together with the people I love this season. Looking into next week, Jon, Zoey, and I get the change to hop over to Mississippi (our home state) to celebrate Thanksgiving with both of our families. I'm so thrilled to see my nephews, shop some Black Friday deals with the shopaholic ladies in my family, and grab a bite at my favorite restaurant back home! This look will definitely make it into my duffle for the trip!
I'm also super excited to share a discount code for 15% off Daniel Wellington watches with my code STYLELOG! The code is good through January 31st! I'm loving my watch and haven't taken it off since receiving it. They make perfect gifts and they offer free returns and gift wrapping! DW also has a special offer for the holidays where you can receive 10% off a cuff bracelet and watch set. This discount will work in addition to my code!
Halloween has past, and I know it's only November, but I can't help but get my mind stuck on Christmas time. It's no secret I put my tree up earlier every year. Don't freak out. It's not up just yet! I also am all wrapped up in creating holiday content! I get extra inspired by the holidays. Christmas is obviously my favorite, but I love Thanksgiving too. Getting the chance to get together with family, enjoy great food, and of course rock a cute, festive outfit always gives me a reason to smile. I am so looking forward to putting together fun holiday looks very soon to share on the blog! I've been finding so many good pieces like this velvet skirt. This one can go a long way! I'd love to see this styled so many ways: a cozy turtleneck, a shimmery bodysuit, a long sleeve knit! The possibilities are endless with a versatile piece like this!
This entire look is from
Molly Green in Atlanta. Links are to similar items from other retailers for you to conveniently shop online!
I'm always living for all things fall...this has been established. LOL. But, what I'm really living for is statement coats and cardis. Throwing a wild piece like this sweater over a dress or top can give you that extra edge to make you feel like you outfit is complete! Now, I've avoided tassel earrings for a while and contemplated saving these for another look, but then I thought "why not?". All the textures and colors happening here make me feel so "fashion week" and that's never a bad feeling!
This week it's finally cooling down in Georgia and I know I'm not the only one screaming "hallelujah!" Having had my fall wardrobe ready for its close up for quite sometime, it's so exciting to finally be able
to pull out some of my fav new pieces and share them with you. I've been working with Molly Green, a boutique with locations in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia, of course. All of this look is from Molly Green with the exception of these boots which I've linked the new and improved version of. I did my best to link dupes of each piece in this look. If you come across any better ones, DM me and I'll update the post!
Bodysuit / Shorts / Boots / Hat
For those not so chilly days in October, you've got to create the fall vibe somehow. In doing so, you also want to keep cool if you live somewhere like Atlanta where fall isn't a season but rather a day or two. LOL. This long sleeve bodysuit from my fav new boutique, Molly Green, has been a staple so far this fall. A piece like this is so easily transformed from casual to dressy, and the off the shoulder style is so trendy. Speaking of trendy, I've gotta praise these white boots for a minute. I'm in love with these as they contradict every fashion rule we were taught growing up. Anything that stands out like that is more than welcome in my closet!
If you haven't seen the white boot trend flooding your Instagram and Pinterest accounts then allow me to be the first to tell you, it's a thing! I honestly couldn't be happier about it. The "never wear white after Labor Day" rule is something I have never been able to tolerate. I'm pretty sure I've written about this for 3 years straight. There's a way to rock your white staples after Labor Day, and here's one way to do it. If it's shoes, boots (in my opinion) are the way to rock white in fall.
After almost splurging on a pair of white Freebird boots, I stumbled upon these at none other than TJ Maxx! Man, that place always comes in clutch for me and my bank account. Sort of. I mean, I spend an unhealthy amount of money on candles there, but I don't spend anywhere near the amount of money on shoes as I would shopping online (i.e. The Freebird boots). For this look I wanted to accessorize with the latest trends while keeping the top and bottom super casual and relaxed. I love these cabby hats. They are so fab with a sweater for fall and.... Oh wait. You said what? You think you can't pull it off? Ah, hush up! You sure can! Lastly, I'm loving this Tommy Sweatshirt. It's super cozy and if I'm not wearing it around the house I love the option of this outfit for dinner with friends!
That is all for this one! Thanks so much for reading, and hopefully I'll see you over on Instagram!
